These are descriptions of each role: Ophthalmic Technician: - Assist ophthalmologists with patient care and exams - Conduct visual acuity tests, take medical histories, and prepare patients for exams - Perform diagnostic tests, such as OCT scans or visual field tests - Maintain equipment and ensure accurate test results - Provide patient education and support Front Desk Officer/Receptionist: - Greet patients, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries - Manage patient scheduling, registration, and check-in/check-out processes - Handle patient records, billing, and insurance claims - Maintain a welcoming and organized front desk area - Provide excellent customer service Medical Record: - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records - Ensure confidentiality and security of patient information - Organize and file medical records, both physical and electronic - Retrieve and distribute records as needed - Assist with data entry and reporting Customer Service: - Respond to patient inquiries and concerns - Provide information about services, appointments, and policies - Resolve issues and complaints in a professional manner - Offer support and guidance to patients and families - Foster a positive and welcoming environment It overlap in healthcare settings and makes us to multitask for us to perform multiple responsibilities.
