We are looking for an experienced fashion artisan who is passionate about excellence and capable of translating creative concepts into beautifully finished garments. Role Summary: Ready to wear pieces, corset wears We require a highly skilled tailor who can accurately interpret design sketches and creative direction while maintaining the highest standards of construction and finishing. The successful candidate must understand that every garment represents the Francisca John brand and should be produced with precision, consistency, and attention to detail. This is a commission-based role with the opportunity to grow alongside the brand. Key Responsibilities: * Produce high-quality sample garments from design sketches and creative briefs. * Construct ready-to-wear garments with exceptional finishing. * Interpret designs accurately while maintaining the designer’s vision. * Recommend construction techniques that improve garment quality and wearability. * Ensure consistency across all garments produced. * Carry out neat pressing, finishing and quality checks before delivery. * Work closely with the Creative Director to refine patterns, fit and garment construction. * Meet agreed production timelines without compromising quality. * Maintain a clean, organised and professional work environment. * Identify and communicate production challenges early, while proposing practical solutions. Required Skills & Experience: * Minimum of 3 years’ experience in women’s fashion tailoring. * Strong understanding of premium garment construction techniques. * Excellent finishing skills (inside and outside garment). * Ability to work with silk, mesh, organza, crepe, cotton, linen and similar premium fabrics. * Strong understanding of garment fit and proportion. * Ability to follow technical instructions and creative direction. * Pattern drafting or pattern interpretation experience is an added advantage. * Ability to produce both samples and production pieces to a consistently high standard. Compensation: This is a commission-based engagement. Compensation will be agreed based on the number and complexity of garments produced, with opportunities for increased earnings as production volume grows.
