Master the Big Pieces: Build structured clothes like coats, blazers, and suit jackets from scratch, making sure the shoulders and collars sit perfectly. Daily Essentials: Expertly sew everyday professional wear like trousers, skirts, and button-down shirts. The Perfect Fit: Meet with female customers to see how the clothes sit on them. You’ll need to know how to pin and tuck the fabric so the final result is comfortable and looks flattering. Fixes & Changes: Take existing clothes and resize them; making things bigger, smaller, shorter, or longer without ruining the original style. What We Are Looking For (Skills) Eye for Shape: You should know exactly how to adjust fabric for curves (like the bust and hips) so the clothes don't bunch up or pull. Machine Expert: You should be very comfortable using different types of sewing machines and industrial steam irons. Fabric Knowledge: You should know the difference between working with thick wool (for coats) and thin, slippery silk (for dresses). Experience: You have been tailoring women’s clothes professionally for at least 3 years. Patience & Detail: You are the kind of person who notices if a pocket is even 2mm off-center and fixes it immediately.
