Quality Control Staff

Factory Staff — Role & Job Descriptions (MON 8:30AM – FRIDAY 5:30PM) Quality Control Personnel /Tailoring Supervisor Purpose: Ensure that at every stage — from raw fabric through final garment — the output meets the factory’s quality standards. Minimize defects, reduce wastage, guarantee consistency — thereby securing brand reputation, customer satisfaction, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: • Inspect incoming fabric and trims before cutting (fabric inspection) to detect defects (e.g. color inconsistency, weaving flaws, shading, wrong GSM, etc.) — prevent defective fabric from entering production. • Perform in-line inspections during production (cut pieces, sewn pieces, monogrammed pieces) to catch defects early — avoid problems compounding downstream. • Conduct final/end-line inspection on finished garments: check stitching, seams, fit, finishing, correct trims, monogram/embroidery placement, measurements, sizing, overall workmanship. • Maintain quality control procedures / SOPs: create or follow checklists, standard criteria (size charts, stitch types, finishing standards, etc.) so evaluation is consistent across batches. • Report defects, deviations, rework needs to production manager; collaborate to identify root causes (fabric, machine, operator) and recommend corrective actions. • Keep records of inspections, defects, rejection rates; prepare regular quality reports for management — to track performance and improvement over time. • Provide feedback/training or guidance (if necessary) to cutters, tailors, monogram operators — raise quality awareness so everyone understands the standards. • Ensure factory cleanliness, adherence to safety and quality protocols, and compliance with any applicable external standards (if relevant). Qualifications / Skills: • Good understanding of garment construction, fabric behavior, stitching/finishing standards, measurements, sizing. (3-5years) • Keen eye for detail, precision, consistency. • Ability to use measuring tools, inspect seams, fabric, trims, overall finish. • Ability to document, report, and communicate quality issues clearly, and collaborate with production staff to solve them. • Discipline, consistency, reliability, and a commitment to high-quality output and standards.
