Production Manager

Factory Staff — Role & Job Descriptions (MON 8:30AM – FRIDAY 5:30PM) Production Manager (MALE) Purpose: Oversee, coordinate and manage the entire garment production process — from fabric cutting to final output — to ensure timely delivery of monthly designs, high quality, disciplined workflows, and efficient resource use. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain a monthly production plan/schedule to deliver at least 10– 15 design releases per month, coordinating cutting, tailoring, finishing, QC, etc. • Allocate tasks among cutters, tailors, monogram/embroidery operators, QC personnel — ensuring balanced workload and efficient flow. • Ensure raw materials (fabric, trims, accessories) are available on time; manage inventory and coordinate with procurement or suppliers if needed. • Monitor the entire production process: from cutting → sewing/tailoring → finishing → quality control → packing/shipping; identify bottlenecks and resolve them promptly. • Work with QC team to define quality standards (fit, stitching, finishing, color, trim placement, etc.) and ensure finished garments meet those standards. • Ensure compliance with safety and workplace discipline for all staff; enforce rules, proper use of machines, maintenance, cleanliness, and order in the factory. • Supervise, lead, motivate staff; identify training needs and organize training for tailors or operators to upskill — specially to meet your goal that tailors “know majority of machines.” • Manage cost control: minimize wastage (fabric, time), optimize resource utilization — to ensure cost-efficient production without compromising on quality or deadlines. • Report regularly (daily, weekly and monthly) on production status: volumes produced, defects/rejects, delays, resources used — giving you timely insights and enabling adjustments to plans. Qualifications / Skills: • Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes 3-5years (cut & sew workflow from fabric → finished garment). • Good organizational, planning, and leadership skills. • Ability to manage multiple teams (cutting, tailoring, QC, monogram, finishing) and coordinate them toward monthly output goals. • Understanding of quality standards, measurement, fit, finishing, and ability to enforce them. • Good communication, problem-solving skills, decisiveness, ability to adapt when orders or demands change.
