Operational Manager /STUDIO MANAGER

Must have a background in fashion, fashion retail, garment production, tailoring, or a related field. • Does not necessarily need to know how to sew, but must have a good understanding of garments and common alteration terminology. • Must be able to understand alteration requirements such as size taking, waist adjustment, shortening, taking in, etc. • Must be able to use our price menu to identify the correct alteration/service and prepare client invoices. • Must be comfortable using a laptop, website and other basic digital/operational systems. Responsibilities: • Manage the day-to-day operations of the studio. • Open and prepare the studio for daily operations. • Assign garments/jobs to tailors and monitor their progress. • Supervise tailors and ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule. • Ensure tailors remain focused on studio work and do not use studio time or equipment for personal garments. • Receive, organize and track all incoming garments. • Arrange garments systematically according to their intake/production dates. • Track completed garments and contact clients when garments are ready. • Follow up with clients regarding fittings and collections. • Monitor inventory, stock and studio supplies. • Coordinate fittings with clients and tailors when required. • Use the price menu to determine appropriate services and prepare invoices. • Maintain proper records and ensure studio procedures are followed. • Ensure the studio remains organized, efficient and fully operational even when I am not physically present.
