Lead Bag Maker

ROLE PURPOSE The Lead Bag Maker will reproduce the brands approved handbag samples accurately, consistently and in commercially viable quantities. The Creative Director will provide the design direction, approved sample, patterns, technical specifications and production instructions. The maker’s primary responsibility is production not independent design or repeated sample development. The successful candidate must be capable of constructing and finishing premium leather bags to an international standard, with strong taste level, attention to detail and respect for the original design. Key Responsibilities * Produce the brands bags according to approved samples, patterns and technical specifications. * Meet agreed production quantities and delivery schedules. * Maintain consistent workmanship and premium finishing across every bag. * Inspect completed work and correct defects before submission. * Use leather, hardware and other materials carefully to minimize waste. * Identify production problems and discuss solutions with the Creative Director before making changes. * Assist with occasional sample corrections or product improvements when required. * Maintain tools, machinery and a clean, organized workspace. * Protect the confidentiality of the brands designs, patterns and production methods.
