Factory Staff — Role & Job Descriptions (MON 8:30AM – FRIDAY 5:30PM) Cutter Purpose: To precisely cut fabric pieces from supplied materials according to design specifications — ensuring efficiency, minimal waste, and readiness for sewing, to support monthly production goals. Key Responsibilities: • Review design specs / tech pack / pattern sheet for each style and size before cutting. • Spread / lay out fabric correctly, inspect fabric quality (look for defects, flaws, color or texture inconsistencies) before cutting. • Accurately cut fabric pieces according to pattern/marker — ensuring correct dimensions, consistency across sizes, and minimal material waste. • Label and bundle cut pieces clearly (e.g. size, style, order number) so sewing/tailoring team can easily pick them up without confusion. • Coordinate with production manager / tailors to ensure the cutting schedule aligns with overall production plan (so sewing lines are never starved of pieces). • Maintain cutting tools and machines (knives, shears, cutting tables) in good condition — report any maintenance need to avoid delays or defects. • Work with discipline and timing — ensure cuts are completed in time to meet target of 20–25 designs/month. Qualifications / Skills: • Solid understanding of fabric behavior (stretch, grain, defects) to avoid wastage or mis-cutting. • Precision, attention to detail, neatness. • Ability to follow patterns and work with markers. • Good time-management, reliability, teamwork mindset. • Basic maintenance / machine-care awareness (so machines remain usable and safe).
